I believe everyone experiences some form of trauma in their life. When you layer that with experiencing life through an LGBT lens, life can be even more complicated! Questions like “Can I bring my partner home for Christmas?”can be stressful. Other questions include ” Do I tell people at work?”  “How can I balance being true to myself with being out?” This is where I believe therapy can be especially helpful to clients in bridging this gap and looking towards living the life you want to lead!
I have a passion for helping transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.
I appreciate the bravery it takes to be yourself with authenticity. Whether you’re questioning your gender, or you’re looking to take steps to further express your transition, I can help. We’ll walk through this journey in a place that is safe, open, and not pushy. We’ll work with the barriers you’re facing, whether their individual barriers, or family barriers.
If you need help with relationship issues, I can help.
Many people are looking for a therapist who they know will understand their relationship. I can help you with basic relationship issues, such as communication problems, or more complicated relationship issues surrounding sex and intimacy. Whether you’re struggling to get along, or you get along, but something is missing, we’ll find a way to work through these issues so that you can reconnect.
I have intensive specialized training and experience working with Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender clients for the past decade. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my long time partner, playing with my cat, Oscar, and enjoying movies and dinner with friends and family. I may even be spotted engaged in a grueling spin class!
